Plains All American Pipeline Existing and Planned Rail Assets 2013

Plains All American Pipeline L.P. plans to complete the addition of 75,000 BPD DJ Basin / Niobrara oil transport capability by the 2nd half of 2013 as reported in their Overview of Rail Assets & Activities report available on the company’s website.  A completely new rail transport hub located in in Tampa, CO is being constructed to carry 65,000 BPD, and an existing hub in Carr, CO is also being expanded to carry 30,000+ BPD.

This rail expansion is being constructed to add transport capability to meet the increased crude oil output from the Niobrara play. Plains all American Pipeline L.P. is showcasing its rail asset’s ability to bridge the pipeline “gap” and provide a means of bringing Niobrara and Bakken crude to Coastal Markets.
