October 10, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

It cannot be stressed enough that, “the mineral owner must not lose sight of the fact that the largest contribution of capital in the whole process comes from us the owners of the minerals…” stated Neil Ray, immediate past president of NARO Rockies.

Mineral owners must attend the task force meetings and make their voice heard.  There is a large contingent of people in Colorado who don’t care about our private property rights, they don’t care that industry is developing, at an accelerated rate, ways to insure cleaner air and less intrusion into the lives of communities.  An example of this is the announcement by U.S. Well Service that   “Newly patented technology successfully reduces emissions by 99% at hydraulic fracturing sites”.  Read more about this at  This takes away the dirty air argument that is heard at every meeting and in every conversation with those who are anti-fracking.

Mineral owners must also let the task force know the positive effects that royalties have contributed to their lives, both personally and in their communities.  Only you can do that.

Please attend this meeting. If you cannot attend the entire meeting, the most important time to show up is the public comment time period from 5-7 pm. Please let us know if you can attend and would be willing to give a short testimony regarding the importance of mineral/royalty ownership. We will also be sending out talking points you are welcome to use. Future meetings are also very important for us to attend to let the task force know that we are passionate about getting our minerals developed.

We will send out the full schedule of meetings, in the meantime, mark your calendar for the meeting in Rifle, CO, November 5-6, 2014.
Thank you for your continued support!

Michelle Smith
NARO Rockies President
